All applicants are required to pay an application fee as follows:
Early application fee (before March 15): $50
Regular application fee (March 15 to April 15): $100
Application fees can be paid by check or major credit card. Instructions are provided in the application form. Application fees are not refundable. International applicants paying by wire will owe an extra $20 to cover the cost of the wire transaction.
MPF alumni, residents of Delaware, UD students and
alumni, UD community music school students, and residents living within 50
miles of Delaware border will receive a 50% discount off the application fee.
If applicant is under 18 years of age, a guardian must
complete this form on their behalf and must communicate on behalf of the minor
for all festival related subjects.
Accepted applicants will be notified by email on or before May 1, 2019.
The application must be completed in one session. Please
ensure adequate time to complete the application. If you do not finish the form
in one session, you will need to restart the process.
Pre-formed chamber ensembles are accepted (please note this in the "extra information" question on the application).

Applicants for the divisions listed above are required to provide a video audition via Youtube or Youku link on their application form.
Your audition video should be recorded within the past 3 months prior to submission and be of good sound quality. Please ONLY upload to YouTube or Youku (China). No other online video platforms will be accepted. Professional video recording is not necessary. The use of a 2010 or newer model iPhone or similar smart device is acceptable.
It can be any selection (one movement or one piece) from standard repertoire for your instrument, with or without piano accompaniment. The minimum length is 5 minutes and the video file must be labeled with your name, your instrument, and the work performed. Please skip long rests as no more than 15 seconds of silence is permitted; however, no pausing of recording or editing of any kind is permitted.
Memorization of the recorded works is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
