Protection of Minors Policy

Minors attending the festival are required to abide by regulations set by the University of Delaware’s Office of Equity and Inclusion.

Participants in the Little Masters Division (ages 9-13) will be supervised directly at all times by program staff.

MPF is instating a new policy this year for minors ages 14-17. Minors will be required to check in in person three times per day with MPF staff, but will otherwise be free to roam within the area designated by the map shown below. Minors will also have a curfew of 11pm and will be required to have checked in at the dorm by that time. Parents will be required to sign a waiver consenting to allow their child to participate in our festival in accordance with this policy. 

For the safety of our festival's participants, faculty members who teach minors and all festival staff undergo a detailed background check and receive training in the university's rules and regulations for protecting minors prior to the festival.
