Music's Unifying Power: Creating Shanghai Sonatas

Join us for an interactive webinar with the creative force behind Shanghai Sonatas. This new UD musical was the last event Master Players presented before COVID-19. The creators will speak about the musical’s creative development and historical context, the intense workshop and rehearsal process leading up to the successful February premiere, and a planned showcase at Master Players after COVID-19.

Backstage Pass Online

During this “virtual tea time,” presented at 3 P.M. on Saturday afternoons, Master Players artists share their unique musical experiences and answer questions. This program is intended to benefit music fans of all ages, and is well suited for students ages 12 and up, including UD students, participants in our Little Masters Project, and local middle and high school students, as well as members of the community with a love for learning and live music.

​We invite educators who are interested in incorporating these webinars or future Backstage Pass Online events into their curriculums to contact us at mpoutreach@udel.edu so we can coordinate attendance with you. This program is intended to benefit all students ages 12 and up, including UD students, participants in our Little Masters Project, and local middle and high school students, as well as members of the community with a love for learning and live music.
