Women of Note: A Season Opening Concert

Women of Note

Concert Duration (including intermission): 90’

Ages 8 and up

A chamber music concert celebrating the artistic achievements of three master musicians. Violinist Judith Ingolfsson will give her Delaware debut performance with her personal interpretation of J.S. Bach’s Solo Partita in B minor. A professor of violin at the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University, Ingolfsson will also join UD’s own nationally-acclaimed professor of piano Christine Delbeau and Israeli virtuoso cellist Michal Schmidt in a fiery performance of Johannes Brahms’ Piano Trio in B Major (No. 1), Op 8. In addition, the transformative music of Mozart will be shared by Delbeau and Ingolfsson in their first collaboration, a performance of his Sonata for Violin and Piano in B Flat Major, K. 454. Schmidt will open the concert with a solo performance of “Sola” by Tamar Muskal, a piece that influenced the title of her recently released CD.

This concert is hosted by Master Players founding director Xiang Gao, who will welcome music lovers back to UD for the series’ first in-person concert in 18 months.

This is a past event.
