Step into a strange new world as Master Players opens its 16th season with unusual soloists! Featuring virtuoso bassist Yung-Chiao Wei from Taiwan, the genius sounds of the accordion with master performer Djordje Gajic of Scotland, and the acclaimed American pianist Marian Lee.
As the first female bassist to perform a solo recital in Carnegie Hall history, Yung-Chiao Wei is a professor of music at Louisiana State University who has captivated audiences across the globe. Djordje Gajic began his musical studies in Serbia at the age of 6 and has since won competitions and performed in recitals all over the world. He also founded the first summer school for accordion in Scotland. Pianist Marian Lee will collaborate with the two masters to perform unique and surprising repertoire in an unforgettable concert like none you’ve ever seen.
