Saturday, November 9, 2019 - Gore Recital Hall - 3 P.M.
Russian virtuoso pianist, transcriber, and visual artist Asiya Korepanova is now a Master Players legend following an all-Liszt solo performance she gave on three days’ notice with our series in 2017. Her unbeatable performance brought the audience to their feet and was one of the strongest ever presented on our series. Master Players proudly welcomes her back for her true debut concert this time, where she will perform an even more demanding program of Liszt, Chopin, Bach and Beethoven that showcases her artistry and unlimited physical abilities on the piano. As an accomplished visual artist herself, the recital will also feature her own paintings as visual elements of her interpretation of Modest Mussorgsky’s masterpiece, “Pictures at an Exhibition,” celebrating the 180th anniversary of the birth of the Russian composition giant.
