Taking place on the day before Mother’s Day, our season closer will celebrate mothers with a cello recital featuring one of the preeminent cellists of our time, Zlatomir Fung, who is the latest Gold Medalist of the Tchaikovsky Music Competition in Moscow. Mr. Fung started playing at age three, and since then his virtuosity and sensitivity has pushed the 20-year-old to the forefront of the cello world and solidified his spot as a star among the next generation of world-class musicians. His career officially began with Young Concert Artists in 2017 and led to exponential growth including numerous awards and performances around the world. In early 2020, he was awarded an Avery Fisher Career Grant further pushing the prodigy into prestige. One of his personal collaborative pianists will join him for a program that includes romantic pieces by Beethoven and Rachmaninoff as well as an emotional performance of Dvorak’s Songs My Mother Taught Me.
Ticket information to be announced in late Summer 2020. Livestreaming option will be available.
