UD's Ensemble-In-Residence 6-wire and the UD Chorale under director Dr. Paul D. Head will make our esteemed university shine on the stage of Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. Presented and produced by the Master Players Concert Series under director Xiang Gao and supported by the UD President's Office and the UD Office of Development and Alumni Relations, this two-hour concert will feature 6-wire and its world-renowned collaborators from UD and beyond, including UD faculty cellist Lawrence Stomberg and New York cellist Gabriel Cabezas. This historic event will also include the world premieres of the new works Ealasaid by UD faculty composer Jennifer Margaret Barker and Meridian Flux by composer Mark Hagerty, new original works and arrangements by 6-wire, and an encore performance of Clearwater Rhapsody by MacArthur Genius Grant awardee Bright Sheng.

PLAN YOUR TRIP!

Round-trip coach bus transportation arranged by Master Players will be available for $60 per person and can be reserved using this form. Reservations must be completed by December 30, 2018 and patrons will be contacted in January for payment.

The bus will depart from the Roselle Center for the Arts at 12pm on February 16, 2019, arriving in New York City at approximately 3pm, and will depart from Carnegie Hall around 9:30 p.m. immediately following the concert the same night, arriving back in Delaware at the Center for the Arts around midnight.
